At Genesis Diamonds, your satisfaction is our top priority. If you are not completely happy with your purchase, we are committed to working with you to find a solution that meets your needs. Eligible items may be returned or exchanged within 30 days of purchase, provided they are in original condition and show no signs of wear or damage.

Please note that designer engagement rings and designer wedding bands (Tacori, Verragio, A. Jaffe, Gabriel, Simon G., Fana, Noam Carver, Kirk Kara, Shy Creation, Diabella), special orders, merchandise that has been re-sized or altered, and discounted merchandise are not eligible for return.

All sales are final after expiration of the applicable exchange or return period. If you seek to exchange or return a certified diamond, the certificate must be returned to Genesis Diamonds or you will be assessed a $250.00 certificate fee. Refunds will be issued in accordance with the purchaser’s original method of payment.

Gift recipients may exchange an item within the exchange or return period for store credit only— no refunds. The date of sale is defined as the date that you sign this contract or, for online orders, the date that you purchase an item online, regardless of whether or not you have completed all payments associated with your purchase. Genesis Diamonds maintains a wide selection of both certified and non-certified diamonds. Within Genesis Diamonds’ certified diamond selections, Genesis Diamonds primarily carries natural diamonds graded and certified by the GIA, as well as some certified by AGS, HRD and IGI. Each laboratory offers a quality report (certification) that grades certain characteristics—including color and clarity—that can affect a diamond’s value. Within the diamond industry, certifications issued by GIA are generally considered to be superior and subject to more stringent grading standards. It is not uncommon to see a non-GIA certified diamond differ 2-3 color grades and 1-2 clarity grades lower depending on the grading laboratory. Genesis Diamonds, however, does not independently certify diamonds.

By signing this contract, you affirm your understanding of the above, and as a condition of purchasing a diamond from Genesis Diamonds, you agree to hold Genesis Diamonds harmless, and covenant never to sue Genesis Diamonds, regarding any actual or alleged inaccuracy contained in any lab-graded diamond certification or regarding any non-certified diamond’s quality. Nothing in this contract affects your right to assert a claim directly against a grading laboratory regarding an actual or alleged inaccuracy in a certification; however, you agree as a condition of your purchase that no such claim will ever lie or be maintained by you or any subsequent recipient of your purchase against Genesis Diamonds.

Local sales tax is charged for all in-store purchases. Sales tax is also charged as to any state in which we are required by law, per the Wayfair Sales Tax Ruling, to collect sales tax (currently this includes Alabama, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Mississippi, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, & Virginia) when (1) a customer makes a purchase without taking possession locally, and (2) at the customer’s direction, the purchase is shipped out of state.

If sales tax is not collected on any order shipped to your state, you may still be responsible for any applicable local or state use taxes.

No refunds are available for items purchased using Genesis Diamonds’ trade up policy or for items purchased using the trade-in value of items not purchased from a Genesis Diamonds store. Exchanges for store credit may be available for such items at Genesis Diamonds’ sole discretion.

Genesis Diamonds’ warranties, guarantees, and upgrade policies, and any other benefits afforded to you under this contract or Genesis Diamonds’ policies, are not transferable and shall be valid for you—the original purchaser—only.

SPECIAL ORDERS ARE NOT RETURNABLE OR SUBJECT TO CANCELLATION UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. Special orders include any item that has to be ordered from a vendor, is custom made or altered, or is specially sized. If the balance due for a special order item is not paid in full within 90 days of being notified that the special order is ready for pickup or delivery, the special order shall be deemed abandoned, and any deposit paid regarding it shall be forfeited.

If a deposit is paid to Genesis Diamonds to hold merchandise, the remaining balance due must be paid in full within 90 days, or the merchandise on hold shall be deemed abandoned, and any deposit paid regarding it shall be forfeited.
